About Us
Sinhua Elementary School has a long history, over a century old. Established during the Japanese occupation era in Meiji 31 (1898), it was one of the first elementary schools built during the Japanese rule. In the 1968, with the implementation of the nine-year compulsory education, it was changed to “Sinhua Elementary School.” After the merger of counties and cities in the2010, the full name became “Tainan Municipal Sinhua District Sinhua Elementary School.”
Features
In addition to regular classes and kindergarten, the school offers specialized classes for gifted students, resource classes, and special education classes. It provides a variety of extracurricular activities, allowing students to choose based on their interests and abilities. Morning activities and Saturday after-school time are used for practice, and students are given a performance stage at the end of the semester to showcase their learning outcomes. Furthermore, various clubs frequently achieve excellent results in external competitions.
The school’s wind band is the largest club, participating in national student competitions and annually winning top honors in the national marching band category for primary schools. The choir has also performed exceptionally in national folk song competitions, while the athletics team is a consistent winner in Tainan City and national track and field championships.
The diabolo team, kabaddi, dodgeball, and badminton teams frequently report victories, and language competitions and gifted class independent research also regularly achieve good results. Additionally, the school's Lion Dance troupe, in addition to winning awards in traditional arts competitions, is often invited to perform at community events.
